Finally, after almost 4 years of having the concrete slab layed in our backyard, we actually bought and put up a garden shed that I've been wanting. It's actually my fault on the procrastination because I wavered several times in deciding "Do I want a shed?" or "Do I want a Gazebo?" or "Do I want a covered swing?", but in the end, the garden shed won out.
We decided on a pre-fab Rubbermaid Big Max that I found online at Home Depot and Fred was able to pick up right down the street from where he works. It's only 7 1/2' X 7 1/2', but that's all I need for my potting bench, my roto-tiller, my broadcaster, my tools and all my various pots. I even have enough room on the slab to have a couple of pots of plants by the doors. It's really cute and I love that it has 4 little skylight windows in the roof and little arched windows in the doors.
In the beginning....
Walls are going up, Connor helping....
Walls are up, doors are on and they're working on the roof....
Roof peak is on, on to the rest of the roof...
The finishing touches....
and here she is.....her so pretty.....lol
My future plans are to create a new flower bed on the side closest to the bike trail, but I need to think about it for awhile.
I'm so glad to have this project done....now on to the basement next weekend....
