Washington DC - Day One

Arrived at Reagan National around 9:30 this morning. Couldn't believe that we actually got here about 50 minutes early! and by the time I got down to the baggage claim area, my bag was there waiting for me. So far so good...LOL!

Since I was early, I knew I wouldn't be able to check into my room, but I still grabbed a taxi to the hotel so they could hold my luggage for me and I could so sight-seeing.

Had a super fun day, but everywhere I went, I kept thinking about how much more fun it would be if Fred and Connor were with me. We definitely need to plan a family trip here.

I got back to the hotel around 4:00pm and my room was ready. They had already taken my luggage up to the room for me. Great room!

The bed has a wonderful pillowtop to sleep on and lot of pillows. I have internet access and a nice desk to work on and the bathroom is to die for.....

The bathtub is HUGE and deep. I took a bath so I could soak my poor feet and I could stretch out full length in that tub! They also provide you with these wonderfully lush bathrobes to use (see back of door...lol)

The whole bathroom is marble and everything is separate. The toilet is in it's own little separate room.

The shower is separate from the tub. I love that! and the products they give you are BVLGARI. I'm gonna have to stash some of it...They even provide you with a crystal jewelry/ring holder on the vanity!

My meetings start tomorrow morning at 8:30, so I'm getting ready to read a bit and then lights out. I forgot my cell phone charger, so either at lunch time tomorrow or after the meetings are over, I have to hoof it over to Connecticut Ave. to the Radio Shack that was closed today to buy another.

I'll post more photos tomorrow night!

Wow, look at you, staying in such luxury! I'm glad you got to soak your feet after so much walking- I think I might never get out of a tub that big, I'd be enjoying it so much ;)

Looks like a fabulous room! :-) Enjoy that bed and tub!

We were just in DC a couple of summers ago for a family vacation. It's such an interesting place. Have you gone to the Holocaust Museum? If not, I'd suggest trying to work that in. Obviously very sad but very well done and educational.
