It's been almost a month since the last time I updated my blog. So much has happened in the last couple of months and frankly, I'm ready to move on. My body and psyche needs a break.
Now that the Bott's household is on the mend, it's fun to look forward to the upcoming holiday season. Since we're operating on less funds right now, I'm going to get very creative in our entertaining and gift-giving. Keep a eye on my blog to see some of the things I decide to do. I've actually got some of the shopping/creating already done and I'm really glad that I did. That much is already done and just needs to be wrapped and I have PLENTY of time to do that.
I've been doing a bit of scrapbooking. Trying to finish up the Disney pages that I started when I attending the crop that Judy hosted. I'm hoping to share those soon.
Now to the exciting part!
HOW ABOUT THOSE IOWA HAWKEYES!! 8-ZERO BABY! 8-ZERO!
I don't think I have ever got more emotional watching a football game than I did last night. I couldn't even watch the last Hawkeye drive, I was in the kitchen cleaning. When Stanzi hit McNutt for that winning TD, the house erupted! I went running, screaming and crying out to the family room into my sister's arms, we jumped up and down, then I went and sobbed in my DH's arms...LOL! The kids all thought we were NUTS!
I've rooted for the Iowa Hawkeyes since I was in high school and although they have had some stellar years in football and basketball, they seem to always disappoint a little and you try not to get frustrated. Heck, last year, I wouldn't even watch them because I was a bit miffed on what was going on with the team outside of the field in Iowa City, but I did cave and watched them hand the SEC's South Carolina their butt (31-10) in the Outback Bowl last January. I think Coach Ferenz has gotten them all of the bars and back into the practice field.
Next up.....Indiana at home....
